Sally Burroughs

I am a Birmingham based abstract artist/painter.

I have always loved the Arts.  When I was a school teacher with Birmingham City, I realized that most of my lessons would involve some form of art as a method to teach the curriculum.  This love continued after my retirement.  I found myself painting with my children and my passion just took off from there.

I started with watercolors and now paint with acrylic too. I discovered that mixed media creates beautiful textures.  Most of my paintings are inspired by the natural beauty of our surroundings. I hope that my art evokes dialogue, pleasure and speaks to its viewers.
